September 14: International Sex Worker Pride Day

September 14, 2025

On September 14th, we joined communities around the world in celebrating the 6th annual International Sex Worker Pride Day. First marked in 2019, this day highlights the self-determination of sex workers and the many achievements of the global sex worker rights movement.

Sex Worker Pride is one of four international days organized by the Global Network of Sex Work Projects (NSWP) to spotlight the voices and experiences of sex workers. Alongside March 3rd (International Sex Workers’ Rights Day), June 2nd (International Whores’ Day), and December 17th (International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers), September 14th honors sex workers’ labor, resilience, and ongoing fight for dignity and justice.

This day also recognizes the diversity within the sex worker community and extends to all people marginalized by criminalization, stigma, and discrimination. It is a chance to celebrate visibility, solidarity, and collective strength.

Decriminalize Sex Work proudly stands in solidarity with sex workers. We affirm sex workers’ rights as workers, their right to safety and justice, and their right to live and labor free from stigma and criminalization. Today and every day, we honor the resilience of sex workers and recommit ourselves to building a future where their rights are fully recognized and protected.

Happy International Sex Worker Pride
